North Korea's new leader wipes away tears during a public viewing of his Kim Jong Il's body in the capital. State television aired coverage of mourners weeping openly in their grief over the death of their "Dear Leader." His youngest son and heir Kim Jong-un presided over the emotional affair at his father's mausoleum. Meanwhile, other residents of the reclusive country mourned in the streets. Many lined up at a central square in Pyongyang to give their condolences, despite the cold weather. 44 million North Koreans have attended public mourning events across the country. The official state funeral is set for December 28. Jessica Gray, Reuters
