This was not an intentional fireworks display. A truck was making a delivery of fireworks and firecrackers and accidentally dropped its goods...setting off colourful sparks in this tunnel in southern China's Hunan province. The truck scratched against the walls of the tunnel and the firecrackers flew from the vehicle. Some lit up as they hit the ground. Smoke filled the tunnel, and it took firefighters three hours to douse the explosions. The display came about a week early for Chinese New Year -- when families gather, and this time, intentionally crank up the noise with fireworks -- in celebrations across the country.
