Massive hug clinches world record

Feb. 16 - More than 10,000 people embrace in the Peruvian town of Ayacucho, a region with a history of armed conflict. Tara Cleary reports.

In a special Valentine's day challenge, the town of Ayacucho hoped to show that the region had moved on from a violent past as a base for a guerrilla group. And the local mayor thinks they've succeeded. SOUNDBITE: Amilcar Huancahuari, Mayor of Huamanga, saying (Spanish): "It is about showing that Ayacucho is a not of violence, but of peace, of brotherhood, where we all have a desire to solve our problems by talking with friendship, harmony and joy."
