Fighting continues in Syria. In Sarmin, homes and buildings were damaged by ongoing attacks. People are angry at President Bashar al-Assad, as his army bombards opposition strongholds. (SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) LOCAL RESIDENT ABU ABED SAYING: "You dog! You've killed us and butchered our children and butchered our women. Your people Bashar! Go to the Golan! Go free the Golan for us! Take these tanks and free the Golan." United Nations said more than 7,500 civilians have been killed by the Syrian forces since the start of the revolt. Gardens are turned into mass graves, like this one. As limited time does not allow proper burial in cemeteries further away and could be too dangerous to carry out. With limited medical equipment, a drinking bottle was used to drain fluid from a defiant casualty. (SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) FIRAS, SAYING: "We will get our freedom. You have bombed us with tanks, planes, you have brought in the Iranians. You brought in the foul party. We will have our freedom. Even if we die, if our children die, even if we lose everything." In Homs, shelling can be heard as Assad's forces tried to push back the Free Syrian Army. A general who claims he is from the Free Syrian Army said help arrived from France and America. (SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) FREE SYRIA ARMY GENERAL SAYING: "French and American assistance has reached us and is with us and God willing we will be able to do this. (REPORTER ASKING: Just to be clear, weapons or something else?) Yes, it has arrived. We now have weapons and anti-aircraft missiles and God willing with all of that, we will defeat Bashar." Reuters is unable to independently verify his identity or his comment. As the world dismay grew over the bloodshed, France said the Security Council was working on a new Syria resolution. It has urged Russia and China not to veto it, as they have previous drafts. Sophia Soo, Reuters.
