Andy Sullivan reports Mitt Romney gave himself some breathing room in the hotly contested 2012 GOP primary race with wins in Arizona and Michigan, but he faces new challenges ahead on Super Tuesday, when 10 states hold their primaries. Rick Santorum is expected to pressure Mitt Romney in Ohio and Newt Gingrich could do well in the South.

Mitt Romney avoided disaster in Michigan easy edged out rival Rick Santorum. He also posted an easy victory Arizona but nobody really talked about that contest. Instead all eyes are on Michigan the state where Rodney was born and grew up in where is that served as a popular governor. His inability to posting easy win there highlighting continuing doubts about his candidacy. He's having trouble connecting with blue collar voters and those who describe themselves as strong conservatives in the -- -- was able to win because he won those who placed a premium on electability that gives impressed momentum and should help them going in next week's Super Tuesday contest Santorum we'll take another run at him in Ohio and Gingrich hopes to do well in the south. Still Romney keeps racking up the delegates he gets all twenty ninth from Arizona tonight. We'll probably when a good chunk in Michigan as well. He needs to get 1144.
