Eight players, one big ball and mini stun guns - it's Ultimate Tak Ball and the sport's first international tournament in Thailand. Co-founder of the game, Leif Kellenberger, says he and his friends were trying to invent a super-extreme sport, when the idea of stun guns came up. Kellenberger claims the shock is not at all severe. SOUNDBITE: Leif Kellenberger, Ultimate Tak Ball co-founder, saying (English): "They're really, really low voltage, as you can see, I'll even do it to myself, you just get a little twitch. So nothing really affects you long term or the nervous system, nothing really affects your vital organs, especially your heart." The aim of the game is to score goals, not unlike soccer, but with the added stimulation of shock tactics. The guns pack three to five milliamps of electricity, which is about 10 percent of the power of Taser stun guns used by police. And despite absorbing numerous Tak blasts, players think the sport is stunning. SOUNDBITE: Ryan Moorhead, Ultimate Tak Ball player saying (English): "I quit counting once I was on the ground and two people were stunning me a lot. Yeah, it felt like one continuous one, but there was probably, I don't know, 10, 15 individual ones." SOUNDBITE: Damian Ryan, Ultimate Tak Ball player saying (English): "It hurts, but it's not enough to stop you because your adrenaline is pumping, but it does not feel good. I probably got tased at least 10 times throughout the entire match." Some spectators were dazed by the gladiatorial display. SOUNDBITE: Spectator Graham McDonald, saying (English): "I don't want to say (they're) a crazy group of guys, but they've got what it takes to do it." And that would be what, exactly? Tara Cleary, Reuters.
