ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) EDITORS PLEASE NOTE: THIS EDIT CONTAINS MATERIALS IN 4:3 A team of 2,200 rescuers has been fighting a forest fire for three days in southwest China, state television CCTV said. The fire broke out on Sunday (March 18) afternoon, the provincial forest fire prevention headquarters said, adding that it had spread across the mountains of Yimen County in China's Yunnan province despite early efforts to contain it. But local authorities said that the fire, which is expected to be put out by late Tuesday (March 20) afternoon, is unlikely to displace nearby residents, CCTV reported. Yunnan province has suffered from severe drought over the last three years, which has increased fire risk levels and left several million residents short of water, CCTV said. About 47 percent of Yunnan is covered in vegetation, making it China's second most heavily-forested province, local media said.
