Less than a week after failing to meet dismal Wall Street expectations, Research in Motion has been hit with a lawsuit. The maker of BlackBerry smartphones and the PlayBook tablet is being sued by NXP BV - a Dutch company - for patent infringement. The lawsuit accuses RIM of infringing on six patents with several of its smartphones and the PlayBook tablet, citing phone design and transmission of data.
