Amateur video from Homs uploaded on the internet Thursday shows more violence in war torn Syria.
The video, unverified by Reuters, shows plumes of smoke rising from buildings.
The violence comes despite promises from President Bashar al-Assad that he has begun to withdraw troops.
As a UN brokered ceasefire deadline looms for next week, Syrian officials in New York maintain they are committed to peace, but want neighbouring countries out of their affairs.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) BASHAR JA'AFARI, SYRIAN AMBASSADOR TO THE UNITED NATIONS, SAYING:
"Of course we are in favor of peace but we want all these external interferences in our domestic affairs to stop. The Qataris, the Saudis and Turkey are providing these armed groups with weapons. This is a violation of international law."
On the ground in Turkey, fears of further escalation.
Thousands of refugees continue to pour across the border... and that has Turkish officials scrambling to contain the situation.
They might have to send troops to secure the area, they say. Which could lead to confrontation with Syrian forces.
