In Oslo --- the trial of the Norwegian man responsible for last year's killing spree was off to a dramatic start. Anders Breivik offered a defiant salute to judges as his scheduled ten week trial kicked off. Breivik has admitted to setting off a car bomb that killed eight people last July, then killing 69 in a shooting spree at a summer youth camp. But the thirty-three year-old pleaded not guilty to the charges -- claiming he did not acknowledge the court's authority. Breivik was impassive as the court read out the names of his 77 victims and the details of his indictment. He did however become emotional as an anti-Islamic propaganda video he'd made was entered into evidence. Breivik has said he was attempting to defend Norway against multi-culturalism--- particularly Islam. The real question of the trial will be whether Breivik will be declared insane or guilty. If he is convicted, he could face life in prison. Deborah Gembara, Reuters.
