The Tony Awards have been announced and "Once," the Broadway musical version of a 2006 indie Irish film, led the pack of nominees with eleven nominations, including best musical and best actor and actress for its stars. "The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess" and "Nice Work If You Can Get It" follow with ten nominations each and "Peter and the Starcatcher" with nine. Broadway's most expensive show, the 75 million dollar "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark," got only two nominations, for best scenic design and costume. The Tony Awards will be handed out on June 10. From the stage to the silver screen - the nominees for this year's MTV Movie Awards have been announced. "Bridesmaids" garnered eight nominations, as did "The Hunger Games." Both films will vie for movie of the year, along with "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," ''The Help" and "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn-Part 1."
