Lady Gaga look-alikes take over China

May 2 - The pop star continues the Asian leg of The Born This Way Ball tour. Alicia Powell reports.

They weren't born this way, but they are on the edge of Gaga glory. Lady Gaga fans took part in a look-alike contest ahead of the first of her four sell-out shows in Hong Kong. 23-year-old Pink Kwok, won the contest and explained how Gaga inspires her. SOUNDBITE: Pink Kwok, contest winner, saying (English): "Because she works real hard for her fans and I respect her attitude on performance, on make-up and fashion, which is very professional. Yeah." Fans outside the theater echoed the same sentiments. Thirteen year-olds Emily and Lucy. SOUNDBITE: Emily, Lady Gaga fan, saying (English): "Yeah, she's a risk taker and she likes to try things which are new." SOUNDBITE: Lucy, Lady Gaga fan, saying (English): "She finds some new things." SOUNDBITE: Emily, Lady Gaga fan, saying (English): "I think it's good for teenagers now. Adults aren't really brave to try things." The pop-star is on the Asian leg of The Born This Way Ball tour. Tickets for the shows in Hong Kong sold out within hours, with three extra dates shows added at the 14,000-seater venue after fans queued for days to get tickets. Alicia Powell, Reuters.
