EDIT CONTAINS 4:3 MATERIAL At least 34 people are dead after a bus careened into a river Thursday night in Vietnam. Officials say the bus slammed into the Serepok river-- about 350 km (220 miles) northeast of Ho Chi Minh City -- as it was attempting to cross a bridge. Local news programmes showed rescuers sifting through the wreckage. At least 25 others are being treated for injuries. Traffic accidents killed more than 3,100 people nationwide in the first four months of 2012, down 30 percent from the same period last year, government data showed.
