ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: North Korea's state-run KRT television on Sunday showed footage of the country's leader Kim Jong-un touring a zoo in the capital Pyongyang. KRT said Kim's visit to the zoo took place on Saturday. Kim was shown watching different animals in the zoo and speaking to zoo officials. KRT said he received reports about the management and operation of the zoo. There seemed to be no other visitors in the zoo at the time of Kim's visit. On Saturday, KRT broadcasted video of Kim touring construction sites. These public visits are seen as part of efforts to cement the young leader's grip on power and boost his popularity with the public.
