After the attack in Armanaz. Video obtained by Reuters shows the aftermath of an attack on the Syrian city in which homes and a mosque were hit by an aerial bombardment. The city, just north of Idlib, still shows signs of the attack. The Imam of the mosque, Sheikh Moustapha, condemned the assault. (SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) IMAM OF LOCAL MOSQUE, SHEIKH MOUSTAPHA, SAYING: "This is a shell from a military tank. Can you explain to me why would they hit a mosque? Has anyone attacked them from this mosque? A mosque is Allah's house. Why do mosques get attacked by rockets and tanks? This is a missile. They targeted a mosque with this? Why? What is the reason? Has anyone praying attacked the Syrian Army from here?" A Local resident shows a house that came under attack. A woman and one of her children were killed in their home after a missile struck their house. The 16-month uprising in Syria , which has faced a brutal government crackdown, is increasingly being termed a civil war by foreign observers. President Bashar-al Assad argues he is pursuing reforms even as he fights a revolt he says is led by foreign-backed militants. Deborah Lutterbeck, Reuters
