Crowds near the scene of an attack 93 miles east of Kabul. The regional head of women's affairs was killed after a bomb attached to her car exploded. Hanifa Safi's husband and at least nine other people were also wounded. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack although. Safi's death comes at a time of increasing violence against women, much of it orchestrated by the Taliban. Deborah Gembara, Reuters.
