British Prime Minister David Cameron praises preparations for the Olympics Games, after being asked about concerns expressed by U.S. Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Romney told NBC News it was hard to tell how the event would turn out, and he appeared to express doubts over whether the British public would quote "come together and celebrate the Olympic moment". (SOUNDBITE) (English) BRITISH PRIME MINISTER DAVID CAMERON SAYING: "I think we'll show the whole world that we've not only come together as a United Kingdom, but also we're extremely good at welcoming people from across the world. So I'll obviously make those points to Mitt Romney. I'm looking forward to our meeting later today." Romney was the chief executive of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City. (SOUNDBITE) (English) BRITISH PRIME MINISTER DAVID CAMERON SAYING; "We are holding an Olympic Games in one of the busiest, most active, bustling cities anywhere in the world. Of course it's easier if you hold an Olympic Games in the middle of nowhere." Later the Prime Minister and the Republican Presidential hopeful sat down for a meeting. Afterwards, Romney had nothing but praise for for the games. (SOUNDBITE) (English) UNITED STATES REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE, MITT ROMNEY, SAYING: "I'm very delighted with the prospects of a highly successful Olympic Games. What I've seen shows imagination, and forethought and a lot of organization and I expect the Games to be highly successful."
