EDIT CONTAINS 4:3 MATERIAL The death toll from China's worst floods in decades has reached at least 77 people, officials said. Officials in Beijing's flood control headquarters said the identities of 66 bodies have been confirmed, 11 others have yet to be identified. The municipal government put the cost of the damage at around 12 billion yuan ($1.88 billion), according to state media. Torrents of water tumbling down steps into underpasses drown a number of drivers trapped in flooded streets. The initial death count was 37. State media said the maximum precipitation recorded was up to 300 mm (11.8 in.) The heavy rain disrupted air traffic at Tianjin's airport, where at least 20 flights were canceled and 34 were delayed.
