The real life President has been keeping much the same company - meeting German Chancellor Angela Merkel ahead of a visit from Greece's Prime Minister Antonis Samaras has requested some "breathing space" in the terms of his country's bailout. France and Germany are expected to stand firm as did euro group head Jean-Claude Juncker at an earlier meeting SOUNDBITE: Jean-Claude Juncker, Head of the euro group, saying (English): "As far as the immediate future is concerned that the ball is in the Greek corner. In fact this is the last chance, and Greek citizens have to know this." Brenda Kelly from CMC Markets says Greece won't be forced out of the euro zone any time soon. SOUNDBITE: Brenda Kelly, Market Analyst, CMC Markets, saying (English): "I don't think anything is going to happen until we see the ESM possibly ratified by the Constitutional Court and of course, you'll have the Troika report that they'll probably be waiting on before they make any decisions there. But suppose in a way, it's sort of coming down to the fact as to whether or not they want to continue with the rhetoric that they've been banging out over the last couple of months that the euro was irreversible and to, I suppose, be the bad guy and be the person to let Greece go, could ultimately put the euro zone in a worse situation than it is already." The Greek charm offensive in Europe will last several more days. And the real crunch time won't come until September when international lenders decide whether Greece deserves the latest instalment of bailout cash. Joanna Partridge, Reuters
