Tropical Storm Isaac ... churning and gaining strength in the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Isaac is forecast to grow into a Category 1 hurricane and slam into the Gulf Coast anywhere between Florida and Louisiana -- by Tuesday night or early Wednesday. It would be the seven years --to the day-- since Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans .... claiming 1,500 lives in four states and causing more the 115 billion dollars in damages. Isaac could be the first test for New Orleans since its dated system of levees failed in more than 50 places ... when Katrina pushed Lake Ponchatrain into what was once one of the most popular tourist spots in the US. Since then, the U.S. federal government put billions of dollars into a 350-mile system consisting of flood-walls, surge barriers, pump stations. This in hopes a storm like Isaac won't reproduce images of a city caught off guard by a natural disaster ... images never before seen in the United States.
