Not saints, but dachshunds marched through Krakow's town square.
The tail-wagging event is the 18th annual sausage dog parade - and this year's theme was "Dachshund the Traveller", though some seemed to be hounded by their costumes.
The diminutive dogs are the most popular breed in Krakow and are practically the city's emblem.
SOUNDBITE: Krakow resident, saying (Polish):
"The dachshund deserves a march of the dachshunds because it will always have its way and at home the whole family does what it wants."
SOUNDBITE: Natalia, Krakow resident, saying (Polish):
"Our dachshund doesn't like cats, he always runs after them, but today he has peaceful intentions, so he is wearing a cat's picture."
Winner of the costume competition wore a Mexican theme.
Now that's one hot dog!
