(ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: An amateur video purportedly shot on September 11, 2001, showing smoke rising from the crash site of United Airlines flight 93 near Shanksville, Pennsylvania has surfaced nearly 10 years after the 9/11 attacks. The video shows what appears to be a plume of smoke rising in the distance and a dark cloud of smoke floating over what is otherwise pristine countryside. Reporter Arlene Johns of the Tribune-Democrat, of Johnstown, Pennsylvania says she discovered the video while working on an anniversary piece of the attacks. She reported that the video was shot by Dave Berkebile of Berlin, Pennsylvania as he stood outside of his home, and that it is his voice that one can hear on the recording. "This is the remains of an airplane crash over on Lambertsville Road and probably had a terrorist bomb on board and blew up - don't know anything more than that. That's what I heard on the scanner. I just saw the smoke come up and the explosion shook the house clear over here, and we are what - 15 mile from Lambertsville, and it shook the heck out of the house. I don't know what else is happening. They ran one into the Pentagon and the World Trade Center, and we're watching it on TV and this one happened. And a great big black cloud just mushroomed right up into the air, and it shook the house, shook everybody's houses. I wonder if there's anything left of Lambertsville? It was approximately three minutes after 10, Tuesday." Johns says she discovered the video as she researched still photos taken of the United Flight 93 crash site on September 11th. The video had been given to a photographer by Berkebile, Johns said. Dave Berkebile died earlier this year, his wife Cathy told Reuters. Reuters is unable to independently verify the authenticity of the video.
