Rock royalty Led Zeppelin united on Tuesday for the New York premiere 'Celebration Day' - a concert film based on their highly anticipated 2007 comeback gig in London.
Founding members singer Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones were joined by Jason Bonham, the son of late drummer John Bonham.
SOUNDBITE: Jimmy Page, guitarist of "Led Zeppelin", saying (English):
"I think we've done a pretty good job with this. And people will get a chance to see the communication between us on stage and the passion that we have. I think that's conveyed very well within the film."
Following the untimely death of John Bonham - Led Zep broke up in 1980.
And it wasn't until this gig - 27 years later - that fans got to see them perform a headline show.
SOUNDBITE: Mick Jones, guitarist of "Foreigner", saying (English):
"Just being there that night the anticipation in the crowd, it was like a one-off -- supposedly, I don't know what their plans are, but it was the closest you get to Led Zeppelin for a while and maybe for a while to come. I don't know."
Foreigner guitarist Mick Jones was one of a number of rock legends at the premiere.
Guitarist Kirk Hammett and Paul Stanley of Metalica and Kiss fame respectively were also at the event.
Humbled by the loyalty of his band's fanbase, Bassist Jones had a few heartfelt words:
SOUNDBITE: John Paul Jones, bassist of "Led Zeppelin", saying (English):
"If they are still out there, they are probably my age to start. Take care, take it easy, take it slow, and thank you very much."
'Celebration Day' is due to open in theatres on October 17 - followed by an audio and video release in November.
