Queen Elizabeth stepped out in a blue dress and jacket for a Diamond Jubilee dinner at Eton College on Friday (October 12), the school where two of her grandsons were taught.
The monarch had been forced to cancel earlier appearances on Friday due to a bad back, but she smiled as pupils at the school gave her three cheers and seemed to move comfortably, alongside her husband Prince Philip.
Buckingham Palace had said her earlier engagement at Windsor Castle was cancelled as the Queen would have had to stand for an hour.
After a musical and sketch concert, the Queen was scheduled for a private dinner with College staff.
Both Prince William and Prince Harry attended Eton College. The Diamond Jubilee marks the Queen's 60th year on the throne.
