What does chocolate and politics have in common? A lot - says French luxury sweets maker "Paris Chocolat", who believes that they can predict the outcome of the upcoming U.S. presidential election. For the occasion the company created a special election box filled with chocolate incarnations of President Obama and candidate Mitt Romney. Every time somebody buys a box, they can vote for their candidate online. Owner Eric Monterrat has done a similar promotion for the French elections earlier this year and says the results were astonishing. SOUNDBITE: Owner of "Paris Chocolat' Eric Monterrat saying (French) "This straw poll is credible because when we (made the chocolates) for the French election, (our results) were very close to the real vote. Today, we are directly in correlation with what is happening." So we went online to check the chocolate voting results so far… and it was in great favor of President Obama. Out on the streets the opinions were more mixed. While these tourists can enjoying the sweet treats now, the two candidates are currently neck and neck in opinion polls... and three weeks remain until the end of the race when one of them will savor the sweet taste of victory.
