The power player today is Jeff Stratton. He is taking over as the head of McDonald's U.S operations, as heads roll one week its first monthly decline in global restaurant sales in nine years. He moves over on December 1st after a stint as the global chief restaurant officer, just one of many positions during his more than 40-year span with the company. McDonald's is losing customers to rival fast-food chains like Burger King and Taco Bell. Representatives of the company said the change in management was a "business decision" made by senior execs and not tied to one thing. Stratton replaces 35-year veteran Jan Fields, whose recent success was the expansion of McCafe drinks.
