Israel prepared to "broaden the operation" in Gaza

Nov. 16 - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warns Hamas that Israel is prepared to broaden the Gaza operation in a ''significant'' way if needed. Deborah Gembara reports.

A funeral in Israel after three people were killed by a rocket fire by Hamas. Their mourning, however was disrupted as alerts to incoming fire sent them scrambling for cover.
All of this takes place against a backdrop of increased attacks along Israel's border with Gaza.
At least 21 Palestinians including seven children and a pregnant woman have been killed since the cross border exchanges started.
Israel attributes their lower number of casualties to these interceptor missiles, which they say have captured over 100 rockets from Gaza over the past few days.
In Jerusalem, Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyahu warned Hamas they Israel has not ruled out a ground attack.
SOUNDBITE: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu saying:
"We are, of course handling well the rockets launched into central and southern Israel. We are prepared, if needed, to broaden the operation in a significant way."
The recent escalation in cross border violence has many worried tensions might spiral into all out war.
