Usually this hotel in the West Bank City of Bethlehem is teaming with tourists during the Christmas season.
But as violence peaks in the region, hotel staff say bookings have been cancelled or non existent.
Bethlehem had been enjoying a resurgence in tourism following years of violence.
In Tel Aviv the beachfront was relatively bare. Witnesses say people crouched when alarm sirens sounded.
And along Israel's border with the Gaza Strip, another type of tourism.
Residents are flocking here to watch quote 'live' war take place.
While rockets were launched out of Gaza, Israelis watched Israel's Iron Dome defense system intercept rockets.
Around 400 rockets have fallen in Israel since Wednesday and around 240 were intercepted by the Iron Dome system.
So far, 38 Palestinians and three Israelis have been killed in the violence.
