As the conflict between Israel and Palestinians continues, residents in Gaza say they want the violence to stop.
Ibrahim al Samouni lost several family members during the 2009 conflict, when over 20 people were killed by an Israeli strike.
He says the latest violence is reminiscent of that time.
SOUNDBITE: IBRAHIM AL SAMOUNI, WHO LOST TWO OF HIS CHILDREN IN 2009, SAYING (Arabic):
"This war - we don't want it. We hope that we can have peace between us and the rest of the world. We want to live in peace like the rest of the world without war because war is destruction."
Over 100 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, and three Israelis have lost their lives.
Some residents here are fleeing, as the exchange of fire continues.
SOUNDBITE: IM SALEH BADAWI, RESIDENT OF ALZEITOUN, SAYING (Arabic):
"Since the shelling started our neighbours have left, I am not sure were I am going to go."
An Israeli airstrike killed nine members of the same family on Sunday (November 18).
As international pressure builds for a ceasefire, efforts are underway to broker a truce.
