It's hard to believe its been a year since Pandas Tian Tian and Yang Guang made the journey from China to their new home at Edinburgh Zoo in Scotland. But since then, the beloved creatures have attracted thousands of visitors, who have embraced their unique presence in the United Kingdom. Zookeepers had hoped the couple would mate this year, but Michael Livingstone said they remain optimistic. (SOUNDBITE) Michael Livingstone, zookeeper, Edinburgh Zoo, saying (English): "I think it would be such an amazing achievement for us in the way that we've looked after them and learned everything to do with them, they're so different from every other animal that we normally look after even other bear species, it would be such an amazing achievement for us that we've managed to have cubs." It's very rare for the animals to mate in captivity, but the zoo will adjust habitat lighting next year to better match the animals' breeding cycles. The pandas are scheduled to stay at the zoo for another nine years.
