It was a prank call that went terribly, tragically wrong. The nurse who unwittingly revealed details about the Duchess of Cambridge to Australian radio show hosts, was found dead in her London home. SOUNDBITE: John Lofthouse, Chief Executive for King George the Seventh Hospital saying: "It is with deep sadness that I can confirm the tragic death of a member of our nursing staff, Jacintha Saldanha. She was an excellent nurse and well respected and popular with all her colleagues." He also addressed the prank that upended the nurse's life. "We can confirm that Jacintha was recently the victim of a hoax call to the hospital. The hospital had been supporting her through this very difficult time. Jacintha was a first class nurse who cared diligently for hundreds of patients during her time with us." Saldanha's conversation, the one she assumed she was having with Queen Elizabeth, was broadcast by Australia 2Day and heard all over the world. She had worked at the hospital for four years. The news come a day after Kate, seen here with her husband Prince William left the hospital where she was being treated for acute morning sickness.
