Villagers on the Philippine island of Mindanao look on as workers dig for bodies. Typhoon Bopha claimed hundreds of lives when it inundated the island nation last week, the worst storm to hit the Philippines this year. The death toll has risen to 647 and the national disaster agency estimates 800 are still missing. Survivors are left to sift through the remains of destroyed homes and businesses. A second-hand clothing vendor said it would be challenging to reopen the business. (SOUNDBITE) (Visayan) UNIDENTIFIED SECOND-HAND CLOTHES VENDOR SAYING: "In this situation, it is really difficult to recover. It will take many years. We will need to find a new place to re-establish our business." Hundreds of thousands have been displaced and an estimated 5.4 million people are in desperate need of food and water.
