The remains of Jenni Rivera are taken to a forensic facility after being recovered from the site of a plane crash. The Mexican-American singer died when her jet came down on Sunday (December 9) in northern Mexico. Six other people were among the dead. Outside the facility, fans held a vigil in honour of Rivera, who sold some 15 million records. The singer was heading to central Mexico when her jet came down near the city of Monterrey. The wreckage was thrown over a wide area, making recovery difficult for teams attending the site. Among the debris was Rivera's driving licence. The 43-year-old was born to Mexican immigrants in California and leaves behind five children. The cause of the plane crash is not yet known.
