At least 15 people died when a blast ripped through a busy market in the Kyber region of Pakistan.
It's feared the final number of dead will be higher.
At least 20 more have been wounded.
Pakistani television news channels showed the scene of devastation in the wake of the attack on Monday.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
Security officials said it wasn't clear if the blast was caused by a suicide bomber or a planted device.
The region's main airport at Peshawar was attacked by a team of suicide bombers and gunmen over the weekend.
