Santa Claus and Rudolph are training for their miraculous 24-hour trip around the world to deliver gifts. But before wishes can come true, Santa has an appeal of his own, delivered from his home in Rovaniemi, northern Finland. SOUNDBITE: Santa Claus saying (English): "My great wish - world peace - was not gained yet. But I still look forward with a positive mind towards the world leaders to be working on this one." And with Christmas almost here, the elves in Santa's post office are determined not to miss any requests. SOUNDBITE: "POST ELF" ELINA AT SANTA'S POST OFFICE, SAYING (English): "Every year he receives about half a million letters from all around the world and we elves here at Santa's main post office, we are working hard to make sure all the wishes to Santa Claus are delivered." Before embarking on this year's global journey, Santa has one final comment. SOUNDBITE: Santa Claus saying (English): "Take care, love, that's the main thing. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year." Even though Rovaniemi has many rivals to its claim as the "real" home of Father Christmas, where else would you see a sight like this one?
