Kate Winslet has received a special gift from her new uncle-in-law, Richard Branson. According to the Daily Telegraph, the actress, who recently married Branson's nephew Ned Rock'nRoll, got a ticket to blast off on one of the up-coming Virgin Galactic space flights. The ticket, valued at 200,000 dollars, was reportedly given to Winslet as a thank-you for rescuing Branson's 90-year old mother from a house fire last year.
Katie Holmes' return to Broadway has been cut short. Her play "Dead Accounts" will close on January 6, nearly two months early. The play, which opened on November 29, received mostly negative reviews. No reason was given for the play's early closing, but media reports said it was earning only a fraction of its box office potential.
Finally, 100 lucky fans will get to take part in Beyonce's Super Bowl half-time show. Pepsi has announced a new contest encouraging people to submit photos of themselves in various dance poses. Those pictures will be used in a TV ad introducing Beyonce's performance, and 50 people - along with a friend - will be selected to join the singer onstage.
