(ROUGH CUT ONLY - NO REPORTER NARRATION)
Mourners turned out to bid farewell on Wednesday (January 30) to slain members of a band whose members were abducted and murdered last week by an armed group.
Eighteen men were abducted from a party in a bar near the industrial city of Monterrey, 12 of whom were members of the music group "Kombo Kolombia".
Authorities have recovered 17 bodies from a nearby well.
One band member who managed to escape told police that after he and the others were kidnapped, their armed captors asked them if they belonged to an organized crime gang. They were shot when they refused to answer.
It is not clear how the surviving band member escaped or whether he was wounded.
