Lindsay Lohan hit the red carpet in New York, making a surprise appearance at an AIDS benefit gala. Lohan showed up wearing a Roberto Cavalli dress, looking a little more refreshed than the last time she was in public - when she flew overnight to L.A. to make a court appearance. She's due back in court on March 18 to face three charges stemming from a car crash last summer.
The 63rd Berlin International Film Festival kicked off on Thursday (February 7) with the arrival of the international jury. Headed this year by the award-winning director Wong Kar Wai, the panel of film jurors also includes actor and director Tim Robbins. Some 400 films will show during the 10-day event, which wraps on February 17.
Mariah Carey has agreed to record a song for the soundtrack to the film, "Oz the Great and Powerful." Carey co-wrote and co-produced the track, which will debut along with the James Franco film on March 08.
Singers take note: don't dress too sexy at this Sunday's (February 10) Grammy Awards. An email, from U.S. Network CBS, has been obtained by various of media outlets. Sent to this year's Grammy talent, the letter asks that stars wear more conservative outfits, being careful not to show butts, breasts, genitals or thongs. The rules also pertain to any audience member who might be seen on camera.
