Ukraine examines wreckage of deadly plane crash

Feb. 14 - Investigators examine the mangled wreckage of a passenger plane carrying football fans which crashed while landing in Donetsk, killing five people. Simon Hanna reports.

The mangled wreckage of a passenger plane in the Ukrainian city of Donetsk. The aircraft was carrying 45 crew and passengers, mainly football fans going to attend a Champions League match between Shaktar Donestsk and Germany's Borussia Dortmund. But their journey ended in tragedy when the plane caught the meteorological tower with one wing and hit the floor with its other wing. Five people died in the crash. Twenty six people were injured - among them the pilot Sergiy Malashenko. The cause of the crash has not yet been identified, although one survivor said there had been a fire on board which had been brought under control. The public prosecutor said a criminal investigation has been begun.
