California police say former L.A. cop Christopher Dorner most likely died from a single gunshot wound to the head.
Police captain Kevin Lacy.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY SHERIFF'S CAPTAIN KEVIN LACY, SAYING:
"We will tell you that, while we are still compiling information and putting our reports together, the information we have right now seems to indicate that the wound that took Christopher Dorner's life was self-inflicted."
Dorner had been at the center of a massive manhunt last week after police named him as the prime suspect in the killings of four people.
Police found him in a cabin in the San Bernadino Mountains where he engaged them in a shootout.
A former officer in the U.S. Navy reserves, Dorner posted a manifesto online last week claiming he had been wrongly fired from the Los Angeles Police Department and vowed to seek revenge on police officers and their families.
