A team of lawyers visits South African Olympic and Paralympic star Oscar Pretorius at a police station on Saturday.
The double amputee is being held in police custody after he was charged the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in his Pretoria home.
The visit comes the day after a court hearing where prosecutors said they intended to pursue a case of premeditated murder against the athlete.
He faces life in prison if found guilty.
Pistorius' grandmother and sister also visited him in the police station where he spent the night behind bars.
The case has stunned South Africa - a nation that revered 'the fastest man on no legs' as a hero.
Pistorius managed to compete at the highest levels of sport despite being born without a fibula in either leg.
The sportsman did not enter a plea, but his family issued a statement saying the charge against him was being disputed in "the strongest possible terms".
Pistorius will appear in court next week for a formal bail application.
