(ROUGH CUT ONLY - NO REPORTER NARRATION) Australian Foreign Minister Bob Carr said on Sunday (February 17) a report was being launched into the death of Ben Zygier, a man previously known only as "Prisoner X". The Australian immigrant, reported to have been recruited by Israel's Mossad spy agency, was charged with grave crimes before he committed suicide in an Israeli jail in 2010, a lawyer said on Thursday (February 14). The closely guarded case has raised questions in Australia and Israel about the suspected use by Mossad of dual Australian-Israeli nationals and the circumstances behind Zygier's death and detention. Speaking to reporters at the airport in Syndey, Carr said he had asked the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade to issue a report into the case and that Israel would be asked to contribute to the report.
