Wal-mart reports earnings tomorrow in the wake of a report quoting one executive calling February sales were ''disastrous'' so far. We also get earnings from Hewlett-Packard and Chesapeake Energy

And might not have been a happy start to the new year for Wal-Mart. Every -- giant will report fourth quarter earnings before the bell. The results which included in January sales come after it reported an email from a company executive who expressed disappointment in last month's numbers and another executive classified sales so far in February has quotes a total disaster. Shares fell over 2% after the internal memo was leaked last Friday the stock finished up slightly today. Higher payroll taxes this year are seen as a potential problem for Wal-Mart and other discount retailers that cater to lower income customers.
