At IKEA stores across Europe, the freezers are empty. IKEA has pulled its Swedish meatballs after Czech inspectors found some with horse meat in them. Anders Lennartsson is IKEA's Food Sustainability Manager. SOUNDBITE: Anders Lennartsson, Ikea Food Sustainability Manager saying: "We take this of course very, very seriously. Once again we want our customers and ourselves to feel confident in what we are serving and selling. Lennartson says they've stopped selling the meatballs in 13 counties and they're investigating how this might have happened. SOUNDBITE: Anders Lennartsson, IKEA's Food Sustainability Manager saying: "The meat balls are produced in Sweden by "Gunnar Dafgaard AB" and we are working closely together with them to really get to the bottom with this problem." The samples examined by inspectors were labeled as "beef and pork meatballs. The tests were in response to a Europe-wide scandal that erupted last month after beef products in Ireland we were shown to contain horsemeat. . This has triggered recalls of ready-made meals and damaged confidence in Europe's vast and complex food industry.
