The Cigar is still king in Cuba.
Aficionados from around the world celebrate the "Cuban" at the 15th annual Havana Cigar Festival.
Actor Danny Glover is a regular in Cuba and says the world-famous Cuban cigar is just one reason he keeps coming back.
SOUNDBITE: Actor Danny Glover saying (English):
"The thing is to be here with Cuba and celebrate with the Cuban people the most wonderful cigar in the world. You know whenever I go to Cuba, the two things they ask me to bring back are cigars and Havana Club."
Sales of Cuban cigars increased by $15 million U.S. dollars last year -- hitting a total of $416 million, according to Cuba's state-run tobacco company, Habanos SA.
That figure doesn't include any sales in the world's largest cigar market, the U.S., where it is still illegal to sell Cuban cigars.
Sales at the festival highlighted just how much people love the finest rolled tobaccos -- a rare lot of cigars fetched more than $390 thousand U.S. dollars.
