I rise today to begin to filibuster John friends nomination for the CIA and I will speak. Until I can knows no longer speak now will speak as long as it takes until the alarm is sounded from coast to coast. There -- constitution is important. No American should be killed. Spy drone on American soil without first being charged with a crime. Without first being found to be guilty backcourt because when the president responds that I haven't killed any Americans yet. At home. And that I don't intend to do so but -- might. It's this incredibly alarming. It really goes against his oath of office we have drones that are less than an -- I've I've been presumably with cameras I don't -- comfortably dad but less than an -- for the camera. It is not impossible to conceive. That you could have a drone fly outside your window and see what's your read. This future reading material as the targeted assassination from the started under bush. And was expanded under Obama. Essentially grants to executive the power to kill any US citizen deemed to be a threat. I have a message here from. Not from the White House message saying the White House hasn't returned our phone calls. If anybody knows anybody at the White House wants to come we are looking for an answer from the White House. We've called justice also. I think the answer says something about the sequester. Maybe they're gonna gonna call me when the sequestered. And I would go for another twelve hours. To try to break strong -- record that I've discovered that there are some limits to filibustering and coming after take care of one and is in a few minutes here. I think you very much -- they forbearance and I yield the floor. This -- senator from Illinois.
