Walt Disney "Oz the Great and Powerful" reigned over movie box offices in its second weekend, following up its strong debut a week earlier with just over 42 million dollars (USD) at U.S. and Canadian theaters. The "Wizard of Oz" prequel starring James Franco beat newcomer "The Call," a thriller about a 911 operator trying to save a kidnapped girl. The movie starring Halle Berry earned 17 million from Friday through Sunday, according to studio estimates. Rounding out the top three was "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone," a comedy featuring Steve Carrell and Jim Carrey as dueling Las Vegas magicians. It conjured up 10.3 million. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took part in traditional St. Patrick's day celebrations with Irish guards in England on Sunday (March 17). Prince William's pregnant wife Catherine, popularly known as Kate, presented members of the 1st Battalion Irish Guards with sprigs of shamrock in a tradition dating back to 1901 when it was started by Queen Alexandra.
