(ROUGH CUT ONLY - NO REPORTER NARRATION) WARNING - VIDEO CONTAINS GRAPHIC CONTENT At least 24 people died when a bus fell off a cliff in a remote area in southern Peru, police officials said on Wednesday (March 27). The accident happened when a passenger bus, belonging to bus company Andares, fell 80m (262 feet) off a road travelling from the Puno region to Arequipa on a tight bend. The causes of the accident are being investigated. Those injured were taken to hospitals in Arequipa. An unidentified eyewitness, said tiredness and high speed were probably to blame. "There are two issues I am able to comment on as a fellow driver. One, tiredness and the other speed and excess in confidence, combined. Bus drivers these days drive recklessly." Public transport in the poor Latin American county is plagued by illegal bus operators, unsafe vehicles and drivers who aren't properly trained.
