EDITORS PLEASE NOTE: STORY CONTAINS GRAPHIC MATERIAL Young lives caught in the fighting in Syria. Syrian state TV said at least fifteen students were killed Thursday when rebel mortar bombs landed on the canteen of Damascus University's College of Architecture. Two pro-government TV stations aired images showing the bloody aftermath of the attack, as well as images of medical staff treating the wounded. It's unclear how many were also injured. The University is in a central Damascus suburb. It's surrounded by key government buildings, including the Ministry of Defense and the president's official residence. Rebel mortar attacks in this area have intensified this week, bringing the fighting in the two-year long civil war closer to the city center -- and to its civilian residents.
