Listen up Star Trek fans … The laser rifle used by William Shatner in the show's second pilot episode will soon be up for grabs at the annual Hollywood Legends sale at Julien's Auctions. But be prepared to shell out some big dollars - Julien's Executive Director Martin Nolan says the rifle is a "highly collectible" piece of memorabilia. SOUNDBITE: Martin Nolan, Executive Director of Julien's Auctions, saying (English): "That was a really famous phaser rifle and a great shot of course of William Shatner with the rifle. We estimate it at $60 - 80 thousand (USD), but we think it should see in excess of $100 thousand." More than 800 pieces of Hollywood history will be auctioned off. Other highlights include a bra worn by Marilyn Monroe in "Some Like It Hot", a Superman suit worn by Christopher Reeve and the costume worn by Maureen O'Sullivan in the "Tarzan" franchise. SOUNDBITE: Martin Nolan, Executive Director of Julien's Auctions, saying (English): "The outfit worn by Maureen O'Sullivan when she played Jane in "Tarzan" during a ten year span from 1932 - 1942, the nice thing about that piece is that it comes directly from Mia Farrow. I went to Mia Farrow's home to get that outfit. Mia Farrow is of course the daughter of Maureen O'Sullivan." And if you're in the market for something a little more contemporary, how about the car from the recent production of "The Green Hornet?" It's expected to fetch between forty and sixty thousand dollars. The sale will take place in Beverly Hills on April 5th and 6th.
